In Brugherio it was a good day for KTM Alchemist with Nicolas Samparisi taking the win in front of the home crowd in Italy. His brother Lorenzo finished in 5th. In the Women’s race, Nadja Heigl also took the win for KTM Alchemist to make it a perfect day for the team.
The UK National Series continued in York and saw the return of Harriet Harnden to the scene. Harriet was the first junior in last years World U23 Championships in a ride that was hugely impressive. Her CX return was impressive taking the win ahead of a strong field. Lara Gillespie, the Irish elite champion, finished in 7th.
The World Cup started with the Junior Men. Thibau Nys took 7th place ahead of Jakub Toupalik in 8th and Ryan Cortjens in 10th. Next up were the u23 men and it was a hugely impressive win for Thomas Pidcock. Ben Turner continued his great form to take 4th and Eli Iserbyt finished 8th. Back onto the World Cup scene was Evie Richards who raced straight back into the top 10, one place behind Ellen Van Loy.
