The Mirage is extremely fast and comfortable, based on our STRADA Pro and ELITE Pro road tubulars. Perfect for handcycles or junior road racing, Mirage brings all the Handmade quality and speed to smaller wheels.
This handmade PRO version combines a supple, 240TPI Super Polyester casing with our standard Smart Compound. Latex Inner Tube with 48mm valve stem makes it faster with a low rolling resistance and increases the comfort
This handmade PRO version combines a supple, 220TPI Super Polyester casing with natural rubber SmartPRIME Compound tread and a Latex Inner Tube with 48mm valve stem.
The Mirage has been developed to be Handbike compatible.
Remember, you may need to use Challenge Presta Valve Extenders when mounting tubulars on deep-profile rims.

CONSTRUCTION: Handmade
Challenge handmade tires combine comfort, performance, and grip in a way other tires can't match. Our handmade tires are assembled step-by-step by experienced craftspeople. High quality natural glues and latex coatings are applied to ultra-supple casing materials like silk, cotton, or polyester. The result is a small-batch tire with a ride feel that is simply on a different level.
SERIES: PRO
Everyday Luxury – Our workhorse handmade tire is the PRO series, delivering performance and ride feel unmatched by traditional vulcanized tires. Perfect for the rigors of daily riding.
CASING: Super Polyester 220TPI
Super Polyesters with higher thread counts of 220-300tpi make up our most affordable handmade casings. Polyester is much softer and stronger then nylon, is impervious to water and quite durable.
COMPOUND: SMARTprime
Delivers lower rolling resistance than our basic SMART compound without sacrificing traction or durability. SMARTprime rubber compound forms the basis of our fastest road tires yet.
PUNCTURE PROTECTION: PPS
Our Puncture Protection System (PPS) is a tough, tightly-woven fabric placed between the tread and casing to increase puncture resistance.
